I have reviewed the achievements needed for our scouts to achieve the Webelos badge, and the Arrow of Light. I have developed the following schedule for this school year for den meetings. The materials are tentative and subject to change as other opportunities may surface that we may want to pursue. 5:30pm @ Sun Prairie Utilities unless noted otherwise...

Sun 11/10 Mad Science @ Waisman Center 1pm performance (we will incorporate this into a Scientist achievement)

Sat 12/7 9am @ Home Depot East Madison Craftsman project

Like last year some achievements will require some homework. If a meeting is missed they may be made up by the scout working with their family. The Webelos badge requires Citizen, Fitness, a Faith achievement, and one other achievement along with other scouting items. We have completed the Citizen, and the homework handed out at the first den meeting works toward Fitness. I will ask that parents please work with your scout on reviewing the Webelos badge requirements on pgs 49-50 in the handbook, and to complete item 8 (faith) requirement. It would be nice to have this #8 faith completed by the May Pack meeting so that I can award the Webelos badge to all who achieved them. We will work through most of the other requirements at our meetings. Any scout can pursue any other achievements not done as a den. Please keep me abreast of your scout's progress and ask any questions.

The next Pack meeting is Thur Oct 10 at Mayr Family Farm and corn maze. Watch for Pack email communications for this meeting.
